This is a metronome and guitar fretboard trainer. Metronome mode is enabled by default. There are known performance issues with Safari on OS X.

Metronome 

• Tick rate from 15 to 999 BPM. Use arrow keys or click and drag to adjust.
• Adjustable measure length up to 32 subdivisions. Click and drag to adjust.
• Six different tick sounds. Click on the metronome icon to cycle sounds.

Fretboard Trainer

The fretboard trainer generates one question per measure at the configured tick rate and measure length. The answer is revealed on the last beat of the measure, right before the next question. There are two quiz modes:

• Note Finder. The trainer will choose a string and a fret. Identify that note.
• Fret Finder. The trainer will choose a string and a note. Find that fret.

There is also an option to scramble both modes.

The fretboard trainer has the following options:

• Pace:
  • Automatic. Your score is not recorded. Ideal for playing along with your instrument.
  • Interactive. You can provide answers by clicking on the screen and your score will be shown. Your score will reset if you leave Quiz mode or click the Reset button.
• Settings:
  • Chromatic. The trainer will generate notes from any scale.
  • First octave only. The trainer will limit questions to the first 12 frets and the open string.
  • Training wheels. The notes of the chosen scale will be highlighted. Not available when Chromatic mode is enabled.
  • Key. Click and drag to choose the major scale key from which notes will be chosen.

Accessibility features:

Press F to toggle fullscreen.

Click anywhere (except in interactive mode) or press the spacebar to play/pause.

Use the arrow keys to change the tick rate.
